My name is Emily de Santos and I'm a content creator based in El Paso, Texas.

I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Electronic Media and Communication and a minor in Film Studies, where I spent my college years working as a photojournalist. After graduation, I kicked off my career at the University of Texas at Austin, but soon found my way back to Texas Tech. There, I spent many rewarding years as a senior producer at Texas Tech Public Media, winning a Lone Star Emmy for my work as Director/Editor on the documentary, Minor Injustice.

In 2019, I took on a new adventure in El Paso, diving into Public Relations as the Video Production Specialist for Socorro ISD. It was an incredible experience sharing the district’s stories with the community, and I was honored to receive awards from TSPRA and NSPRA.

Now, I’m thrilled to be back in the public media world as the Station Manager at PBS El Paso. I’d love to hear your story ideas, so feel free to reach out anytime!
